This notice explains how Nomi Website Studio collects and uses personal information when you visit this website, submit an enquiry or communicate with us.
Who we are
Nomi Website Studio is a London-based website studio operated by Victoria Foster-Aileru. For data-protection purposes, Nomi Website Studio is the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
For privacy questions or requests, email nomi.websites@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When you use our enquiry form or contact us directly, we may collect:
- your name and email address;
- your business name, website or Instagram address;
- your optional telephone or WhatsApp number;
- your package interest and preferred discovery-call date or time; and
- the information you provide about your business, project and goals.
Our website host may also process limited technical information, such as an IP address, device information and security logs, to deliver and protect the website and form.
How and why we use it
We use your information to respond to enquiries, recommend a suitable service, arrange calls, prepare proposals, provide requested services, manage our relationship with you and protect the website from misuse.
Our main lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract where you become a client, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting Nomi Website Studio. We will not add you to unrelated marketing simply because you submit an enquiry.
Who processes your information
We use service providers where necessary to operate the website and respond to you. These currently include Netlify for website hosting and form processing, and Google Workspace/Gmail for email. We may also share information with professional advisers or public authorities where required by law.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the provider's applicable data-protection safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We normally keep unsuccessful enquiry information for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact, then delete it unless there is a lawful reason to retain it longer.
If you become a client, relevant project, contract, communication and payment records may be kept for longer where needed to provide aftercare, meet tax or legal obligations, or establish and defend legal claims.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information; restrict or object to its use; and receive certain information in a portable format. You can make a request by emailing nomi.websites@gmail.com.
Your right to object: You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You may also object to direct marketing at any time.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
